6.20 – Shaula ≠ Sage = Flugel

summary : 무엇이든 찾을 수 있는 도서관. 플레이아데스 감시탑. 

Subaru: “To start with, our original purpose can’t be fulfilled―― If the Sage isn’t here, then it means we came all the way here for nothing.”

Emilia: “Subaru, listen. It may surely be like that, but in truth it doesn’t mean that we’re at an impasse.”

Shaula: “On the Third Floor Taygeta, there’s the examination hall―― To test one’s rights to enter the library.”

Beatrice: “Subaru, what lies inside the books of the library is knowledge, I suppose.”

Subaru: “By knowledge, you don’t mean it in a literal sense, right?”

Beatrice: “This is the place where the knowledge written down by the Sage known as being omniscient sleeps, and Pleiades Watchtower seems to be the name used in the outside, in fact.”

Shaula: “Yeah. Since Master’s came back inside, the Tower will go back to its original role. A Great Library where you can search for anything you like, be it something you want to know or something you’d like to be aware of―― You can do that in Pleiades.”

Subaru: “So that means the Third Floor is at a beginner level. The Second Floor is at an intermediate level. And you can get access to the top-class information on the First Floor, I think. So it must mean that the Examinations are Qualification Examinations to obtain clearance, right?”

스바루 : 그러니까, 3층은 초급 러벨. 2층은 중급레벨. 1층은 최상위 정보에 도달할 수 있다는 거네. 그래서 이 시험은 승인을 얻기 위한 자격시험이구나. 맞지?

Beatrice: “That’s for sure, I suppose―― Subaru, don’t let your guard down, in fact. Despite her appearance, we don’t know when she’ll show her fangs, I suppose.”

베아트리스 : 맞는 것일까. 스바루, 긴장을 늦추지마. 저래 보여도 언제 송곳니를 보일지 모르는 것일까.

Shaula: “What are you saying, lil’ ankle-biter? There’s no way myyyy~ Master would die from something like that? ‘Cause from the start, Master’s always been someone who you can never tell whether he’s dead or not dead.”

샤울라: 뭐라는 거니, 꼬맹아? 스승님이 그런 걸로 죽을 리가 없잖아? 애초에, 스승님은 죽는지 안 죽는지 말할 수 없는 사람이야.

Subaru: “Maia, Electra, Taygeta, Alcyone, Celaeno, Asterope.”

Subaru: “So, where’s Merope?”

Subaru: “If it’s not the Seventh Floor… then I guess it would be a Zeroth Floor.”
스바루 : 7층이 아니라면, 제로층이 있을 거야.

Shaula: “You haven’t fulfilled the conditions yet. Master came back to see me in the middle of his journey, and I’m satisfied with that. That’s why the Zeroth Floor is a No.”

샤울라 : 아직 조건을 이행하지 않았어요. 스승님은 여행의 도중에 저를 만나러 왔고, 그걸로 만족해. 제로층은 안 돼.

Subaru, Al, Hoshin, and Flugel.

스바루, 알, 호신, 그리고 플뤼겔.

A person who had craved the limelight, and had brought knowledge that should not exist in this world, and had ostentatiously left it behind. He had no more doubt, Flugel was a person from the same place as him.

이 세계에 있을리가 없는 지식을 갖고 들어와서 보란 듯이 남기는 자기 현시 욕. 이제 의심의 여지없이 플뤼겔은 스바루와 동향 사람이다.

Shaula: “Welcome home again, Master―― This Shaula has been awaiting the Great Sage Flugel’s return with all her heart.”

샤울라 : 다시 돌아온 것을 환영합니다. 마스터. 샤울라는 대현자 플뤼겔의 귀환을 진심으로 기다리고 있었습니다.

언젠가 이 곳으로 다시 돌아와서 떡밥 다 풀었으면 좋겠다.

6장엔 궁금증을 유발하는 대사가 너무 많다.

스바루와 플뤼겔의 공통점.

1. 체취 (마녀의 잔향?) : 콰르텟 설정에 보면
플뤼겔이랑 사테라가 같이 여행했을 것으로 추정. ( + 호신, 알렉, 레이드, 루그니카, 에키드나)
영향이 충분히 있을 수 있다. 질투의 마녀가 마나를 오염시킨다는 설정이 있었으니까.

2. 이 사람이 죽는지 안 죽는지 알 수 없다.
스바루도 죽는지 안 죽는지 알 수 없다. 죽어도 다시 되 돌아온다.

3. 특이한 대사.
에밀리아는 샤울라가 스바루와 비슷한 말투를 지녔다고 언급했다. 그러니까 원래 세계의 언어다.

4. 스바루만 알고 있는 정보.
스바루 설정 자체가 별자리를 좋아한다고 했나. 작가가 좋아한다고 했나.
그래서 그 쪽으로 많이 알고 있다고 어디선가 봤다.
설정에 흥미가 있는 사람이라면 알고 있겠지만,
플레이아데스의 일곱 자매라던가하는 설정은 일반적으론 잘 모를테니 동일 인물이 아닐까.

근데 대놓고 알려주면, 정답이 아닐 때도 있다.
